The Geckos are coming!
Gulfport's 7th Annual Gecko Fest was a huge success with amazing local artisans, unique vendors, activities and games, costume and coloring contest, streetbuskers, live local musicians, face painting, a participatory parade, hat contest and story tellers!
Held on September 1st, 2007, the day-long festival was full of fun for everyone. Thecelebration brought together strolling street performers, main stage performers, and vendors with all types of weird and wonderful wares.
Free live entertainment was provided on three main stages from noon til 10 pm. |

Audience Participation Required!
The whole festival is an audience participation event, but none more than the Gecko Walking Parade. This parade features some of the wackiest, noisiest and costumed participants than you've likely seen before. The parade included hat, dog and costumecontests after the parade.
Tasty food choices were offered throughout the day by local restaurants and other food vendors.
